How to Write an AI Voice Script That Buyers Don't Hang Up On

1. Lead with their name and their request

"Hi Maria, this is Alex calling about the quote you asked for on our website" lands very differently from "Hello, I am calling from a company." Pass the lead's name and source into every call so the agent can open personally.

2. Give value before you ask questions

Asking a stranger personal questions right away feels like an interrogation. Start with something useful: a price range, a financing option or a quick answer to what they asked. Then ask your first qualifying question.

3. Keep it short and make it easy to interrupt

Long monologues invite hang-ups. Keep each turn to one or two sentences, and make sure your voice agent stops talking when the caller starts. Modern full-duplex voice models make this much easier than it used to be.

4. Match the caller's language

If your buyers speak more than one language, let the agent open in the language they used when they reached out, and switch smoothly if they change.

5. Know when to hand off
